I saw a Willow Warbler but it proved to quick to photograph. But this Blackbird obligingly gave me a few poses.

And of course the day wouldn't be complete without a few spooky shots of the church and the grave yard as follows

Spooky looking church

Spooky looking churchyard
So anyway, moved onto Backworth flash area for a wonder along the waggonway. Plenty of Reed Bunting.

Fat and content
other birds noted were Kestrel, Goldfinch, Yellowhammer, Willow Warbler, Robin, Blackbird, Jackdaw, Carrion Crow, Wood Pigeon, Mistle Thrush and Mute Swan.
Not many butterflies around only got the two Tortoiseshell and large White (first of the year for me though)

Plant wise got a few new ones for me

Lady's-Smock or Cuckoo Flower

Spanish Bluebell me ma says this is a bit naughty and needs to be destroyed?
Now this one is unknown to me at the moment but i am waiting for id from Ispot website

Along with this one as well

Saw a Primrose that was twice the size of the ones at Allen Banks the other day

So with the trip coming to an end (family for tea had to get back ) i noted this lonely Snail and a bit of Tree Blossom to end with.

Therapy over with i headed back home to bedlam.
Davy, the first unknown flower looks like Field Mouse-ear & the 2nd looks like Lilac.
