Washington Avocets

At last third time lucky i dropped in on the Avocets at Washington. Beautiful bird to look at. The wardens there say they have already mated and are waiting to see if nest building starts.

Poor record shot they were quite distant

There was not much else on wader lake just Redshanks, Oyster catchers, Teal, Shelduck and Wigeon. Waders seem to be far and few between at the moment.

Also got this fantastic fungi it looked like hazelnuts.

Glistening Inkcap (Coprinellus micaceus)
